Some photos from the Show!

We’ve added some photos from the Show and Competition this weekend. Congratulations to Kaye Leng for her Queen of the Show winning Small Stem Pacific Glory and multiple class wins. There were some outstanding displays from those members who exhibited. Thank you all for making it such a great show again!

Heritage Roses

Our next meeting on Saturday 27th of May is a great one if you have an interest in some of the older roses here in New Zealand. Our guest speaker is Delphine Lomas a long time member of Heritage Roses, Auckland. Heritage roses are often steeped in history and hold a very romantic appearance. Make sure you also get to visit the Nancy Steen garden at the Parnell Rose Gardens. Delphine has a wealth of knowledge on old roses, so don’t be afraid to come along and ask plenty of questions!

Our next meeting

is a goodie. It’s our Annual General Meeting and our guest speaker is Shaun Caldwell from Yates NZ. Shaun will be talking about the Yates Company History, their products and some of the changes made over the last few years especially concerning insecticide spray products and the reduction of neonicotinoids in sprays for bees and beneficial insects’ survival. Not only an opportunity to keep up to date with the latest in the garden care front, Shaun is an entertaining and informative speaker – don’t miss out.
